Job Description
Our client, a brand company in the consumer packaging domain, is seeking a Quality Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for quality and a background in science or manufacturing.
Job Title: Quality Technician
Location: Chicago, IL (100% Onsite).
Pay Range: $20/hr.-$25/hr.
Work Schedule: Tues-Sat: Offers Night Shifts: 9pm-5am. There is a very slight possibility of shift change for weekend shift Fri- Mon: 5am-3pm. (10 hrs. towards the end of contract if extended).
Contract: 6 Months (There is potential for this role to extend over the 6-month based on performance and needs).
What’s the Job?
+ Manage chemicals, test products, and ensure quality control.
+ Analyze data and reports using SAP-QM and SPC.
+ Train staff, participate in problem-solving teams, and recommend improvements.
+ Lead sensory evaluation and maintain accurate records.
+ Conduct safety audits and promote a safe work environment.
What’s Needed?
+ A lab tech background in physical/chemical testing (or recent chemistry/biology degree) OR quality manufacturing experience.
+ Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
+ Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
+ A commitment to safety and quality.
