Our client, an Automated machines manufacturing company, is seeking a Field Service Technician to join their team. As a mechanical FST, you will be part of the Services Engineering Team supporting Manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in field service work, repair and installation of automated machinery and customer interaction.

Job Title: Field Service Technician

Location: Rolling Meadows, IL

Pay: $32-38/hr. plus OT, benefits

Key Responsibilities

+ Troubleshoot, repair and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment at the customer’s facility.

+ Resolve service requirements over the phone if possible.

+ Work with suppliers to resolve technical issues at customer sites.

+ Travel to both domestic and international customer locations.

+ Make recommendations to customers for items that require repair/replacement.

Requirements

+ Three (3) to six (6) years of experience in a hands-on mechanical/electrical environment.

+ Must be familiar with and be able to use hand tools, voltage/pressure meters, measuring gauges and devices.

+ Must be able to work in a multi-disciplined manufacturing and engineering environment, often under pressure-filled conditions.

+ The ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings, reference manuals and assembly systems instruction guides is essential.

+ Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
