Certification Requirement : Security + and CE Certification that meats DOD requirements for IT Level 2 Qualifications/ Education & Experience Minimum Education Level Minimum Years experience Substitute for Minimum Education level and Years experience BS <5 yrs. AA or 2yr Tech School w/2+ years Secret Clearance Or Must be a US Citizen Job Description: Formulate and develop communications requirements and design standards. Provide operations and maintenance support satellite communication solutions support CONUS and OCONUS locations worldwide. Responsible for responsible for the setup, configuration, implementation, operations, management, troubleshooting and resolving customer technical problems. Provide technical problem diagnoses and resolution support for all associated subsystems, including line monitoring, modem loop-back tests, LAN performance monitoring and terminal failure determination. Provide hardware and software installation and configuration support. Commensurate experience and education. Key Responsibilities: Operate and maintain deployable communications packages for the United States Army Sustainment Command and other DoD organizations Must haves : Willing to travel globally to include austere environments. Travel can be short notice. (Typical year is approximately 25% Travel but could be up to 75% per year) Able to lift and carry 70 lbs. for short distance Have or be willing and able to get a US Passport Valid driver’s license Desired: Experience with On-site Desktop Support Experience with US Military (Contractor, DOD Civilian, Military, etc.) Experience with VSATs and/or a basic understanding of RF communications Familiar with basic networking and CISCO products Experience operating large vehicles and equipment such as a forklift or truck with a trailer Customer Service experience Experience installing network cabling
