Overview

The Department of Pediatrics of the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria (UICOMP) seeks Infectious Disease candidates for a position as Assistant/Associate/Professor of Clinical Pediatrics, depending upon experience. The candidate must hold an MD/DO degree or equivalent, be BC/BE in Pediatrics along with BC/BE in Pediatric Infectious Diseases and will hold or are eligible for an Illinois physician license. This is a faculty positon, as such requires providing clinical care, teaching medical students and residents, research and scholarly activities. Responsibilities:
Provide clinical services (inpatient mainly and outpatient).
Participate in teaching medical students, residents and other health professionals.
Conduct clinical and/or basic research in the field of Pediatric Infectious Disease.
Participate I infection prevention and antibiotic stewardship committees.
Provide phone consultations for other hospitals and Pediatric offices in Illinois
Provide guidance for community outbreaks (measles and tuberculosis).
Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Doctorate Licenses/Certifications: Physician Licensed to practice medicine in current state.
Board certified or board eligible in the appropriate specialty (ies).
Obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges.
Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs.
Physician shall meet all qualifications to participate in OSF's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.
Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable.
