Overview
As a Solid WasteEngineering Project Manager for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc., (CEC), you will be involved in:
The design, analyses, permitting and preparation of drawings and technical specifications and construction period services for solid waste management facilities, including coal combustion residual (CCR) facilities, and industrial facilities.
General civil/environmental engineering duties
Design of all aspects of landfills:
Double composite liner systems
Leachate conveyance and storage facilities
Stormwater conveyance and storage facilities
Landfill gas collection/treatment systems
On-site roadways, and ancillary buildings and structures
Develop permit application documents, contract drawings, specifications and estimates for landfills, transfer stations, landfill gas to energy facilities, and recycling facilities
Preparation of engineering design reports, feasibility studies, and solid waste management plans
Review of projects for compliance with plans/specifications
Strong client and project management skills:
Good communication, leadership, planning and mentoring skills required;
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture.
Qualifications
5+ years experience in the design, permitting, document preparation and CQA of waste disposal facilities;
Ability to coordinate the regulatory agency review process;
B.S. in Civil, Geotechnical, or Environmental Engineering (M.S. a plus);
Professional Engineering (P.E.) Licensure;
Understanding of business principles of consulting projects and related project delivery tools.
