Job Description

The Supervisor of Total Control plans and coordinates the daily activities of the department (e.g., Latex Quality Control/Quality Assurance Lab, Aerosol/Specialty Lab, Quality Control/Quality Assurance Lab, Bacteria Housekeeping Program). Interacts with Customers, Vendors, and other True Value Manufacturing Company departments as required.

Responsibilities (May perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned).

1.Plans and executes the daily activities of the department by establishing priorities and sequences within equipment and manpower capabilities in order to complete the master schedule.

2. Manages Total Quality Program Benchmarking and Reports2.

3. Problem Solving & Quality Support to Manufacturing.

4. Manages raw material benchmarking/contact with vendors.

5. Investigates and responds to customer complaints & issues.

6. Conducts quality assurance testing on all Latex/Oil Products.

7. Supervises the Bacteria Housekeeping Program including: Weekly bacteria testing of paints; Directing Corrective Actions; Maintaining Reports.

Education & Experience

Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience in Chemistry Science or similar field.

3-5 years of experience, preferably in Laboratory, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance/Control and/or R&D.

Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Work Environment:

The position is typically working in climate-controlled areas of the office laboratories; however, the position is required to visit areas where air conditioning is unavailable.

The position is typically exposed to chemicals that are routinely present in the manufacture of paint and solvents.

Must be able to work with solvents and be able to wear personal protective equipment.

Travel: Travel may vary in length and duration.
