Job Description
Actalent is seeking a Construction Project Manager to work at a Plant expansion in Fort Dodge, IA. Per diem and travel expenses are available.
Description:
- Manage concept, scope, cost, resources, funding, and all other facets of small to major capital projects
- Maintain visibility to the design process and assure adherence to all established key components and project deliverables
- Coordinating with the client as well as various stakeholders, you will directly manage overall project execution including construction and commissioning
- Assist in the development of pre-project approval documents including project charter, project management plan, project kick start estimates and milestone schedule creation
- Ensure design progress and deliverables are met in adherence to established project key components
- Receive design details from design team with full understanding of project deliverables to coordinate bid package development and release for construction bidding and field execution
- Direct and execute installation, construction, and commissioning of assigned projects
- Manage adherence to project milestones and project scope and secure approvals for all changes in projects based on engineering ways of working methodology
- Control the project budget including cost forecasts, cash flow projections and regular reporting
- Provide construction management and plant startup assistance as needed to ensure successful project execution
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years change management, business analysis and project management
experience in a manufacturing, industrial, military, or related environment
OR
Associate’s degree with 5+ years of project management, change management, and/or business analysis
experience in a manufacturing, industrial and/or military environment
Preferred: 1+ years’ experience in early management, operations, and/or a startup environment
