Job Purpose

The Senior RPA Developer leads and is responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and supporting Intelligent Automation. The Senior RPA Developer regularly works with the business, architect and staff from various business units to solve business problems, reducing business costs, enhancing business capabilities, and maximizing processing efficiencies. This role is part of the RPA Center of Excellence to further the goal of enabling innovation and continuous process improvement across the enterprise for Intelligent Automation.

Essential Responsibilities

+ Collaborates with stakeholders from various domains to understand their business challenges and identify opportunities for process automation.

+ Collaborates with Business Process Engineers to perform technical feasibility of a business process flow for RPA.

+ Collaborates with the RPA architect to ensure guardrails are met and influence the creation and maintenance of architecture guardrails.

+ Works with Product Owner and stakeholders to document and refine user stories, validates acceptance criteria, and prioritize/remediate issues.

+ Designs and develops solutions for streamlined processes using Robotic Process Automation (RPA) technologies in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), training documentation, and Jackson approved technical standards.

+ Monitors, escalates, and supports the resolution of RPA production issues.

+ Ensures quality automation using Quality Assurance (QA) processes and peer review methods.

+ Acquires and maintains a working knowledge of Jackson processes and procedures across various departments.

+ Demonstrates ability to perform data analysis and identify data elements needed to support business decisions.

+ Provides RPA training and mentoring to other team members.

+ Facilitates team discussions to improve the team’s ability to engage with each other and solve problems as a team.

+ Identifies and defines best practices for RPA solutions.

+ Identifies and defines appropriate RPA metrics for the team and stakeholders.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

+ Expert level knowledge of Low-Code/No-Code (LCNC) automation tools such as Automation Anywhere 360 and Power Automate.

+ Proficient in at least two programming or scripting languages such as .Net, C#, SQL, Web Services, Python, Java Script, HTML, etc.

+ Ability to learn and adopt all Jackson technical and architectural standards/procedures as necessary to ensure the timeliness and quality of all work.

+ Professionalism and a willingness to learn.

+ Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment with the ability to build consensus and positively influence others within and across the organization.

+ Excellent time management in a fast-paced environment.

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

+ Excellent problem solving/analytical skills and complex troubleshooting methods.

+ Understanding of Agile software delivery tools, techniques and methodologies including Lean, Scrum, and/or SAFe.

+ Strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize tasks and projects to meet deadlines.

+ Strong interpersonal skills to drive effective communication at all levels of leadership.

Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent experience required.

+ 3+ years of relevant experience required.

+ Strong understanding of modern IDE, Collaboration, Coding, and Quality Development Tools required.

+ Financial services experience preferred.

+ Previous experience in a mature Agile environment preferred.

+ RPA certification required.
