Job Description

LaSalle Investment Management is seeking a full-time Sustainability Strategy Manager to join its Global Sustainability group. This role will be focused on implementing strategic initiatives business wide, with a key focus on Environmental and Carbon data.

As the Sustainability Strategy Manager, you will be responsible for the design and integration of global sustainability consistency protocol for environmental and carbon data into each region/business line by providing guidance to regional sustainability teams, property managers, asset managers, and fund/portfolio managers and finance teams. The role will also manage engagements with external sustainability consultants.

Responsibilities:

Project Management
Develop project plan required to accomplish objectives.
Execute on that plan including managing input and assigning tasks from global team members and external consultants.
Lead project initiatives from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and implementation plans, including risk mitigation
Analyze project status and, when necessary, revise the scope, schedule, or budget to ensure that project requirements can be met
Monitoring and reporting to key stakeholders, including Global Change Delivery Lead, Global Head of Climate and Carbon, and Director of Carbon Accounting.
Business Analysis
Lead process activity, including reviewing and recording business processes and data in detail, process mapping, capturing new requests and requirements, championing efficiency in process design, acting as a voice for the process and critical friend to the business.
Facilitate and support workshops, capturing outputs and working closely with Process Owners and stakeholders to summarize and present findings.
Assimilating and assessing information to understand business needs and ensure consistency of solutions with existing design decisions, data strategy and completion of cost/benefit analysis and option appraisal.
Able to assess and understand the impact of changes to process and the challenges to adoption.
Drive the local implementation of business process change within the region to both internal and external stakeholders, including where applicable the oversight of change in contracts and /or SLA's.
Play a key role in ensuring business requirements are met through any technology solution.
Key deliverables will include:
Development of global non-financial ESG data strategy
Design and manage the project plan
Process for timely accurate delivery of data
Platform for use across the business to access and analyze non-financial ESG information
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Preferably experience of working in sustainable real estate, either in-house or consultancy; stakeholder engagement; sustainability data collection and measurement
Exposure to Project Management tools and techniques, including planning, risk management and benefits tracking
Workshop delivery and facilitation experience
Experience gathering and documenting business requirements
Experience managing stakeholder relationships and managing expectations
Strong organizational skills, including multi-tasking and time management, able to prioritize conflicting demands to meet challenging deadlines.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal communication skills * Able to operate at high level, to ensure the project runs smoothly and able to deep dive to solve problems
Ability to work with colleagues globally, with flexibility to take meetings outside of normal working hours when required
