Job Duties: Ensure the stability and integrity of infrastructure elements efficiently and reliably to enable building and deployment of business IT solutions, through proactive planning, designing, preventative maintenance and developing infrastructure systems across the organization and cloud services. Deploy projects for network design and architecture, complex L2/L3 switching/routing, cloud network services, perimeter NFGW firewall deployments, Site-to-Site VPN, SD-WAN architecture and deployment, micro-segmentation and network access control, wireless networking design and deployment, and full site network assessments. Install, monitor, maintain, support, and optimize all infrastructure hardware and software solutions. Analyze and resolve infrastructure hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion. Ensure production readiness of IT network solutions. Provide availability management by ensuring end to end optimal performance, capacity and availability of the IT network landscape. Diagnose and correlate complex network problems, identify root causes and develop remediation strategies. Provide training to Service Desk first responders and provide technical guidance, knowledge transfers and mentorship. Create and maintain technical support playbooks and SOPs. Act as Tier 3 engineering escalation point of contact. Utilize enterprise and open source tools to monitor critical business infrastructure components. Work closely with senior IT management and internal/external customers to deliver best-in-class IT operations and support, including definition/ongoing reviews of SLA/OLAs. Manage in-house and 3rd-party resources to ensure the reliability, integrity, and security of all physical and virtual infrastructure components. Coordinate regular evaluation and maintenance of IT disaster recovery protocols against policy-driven RTO and RPO service levels. Collaborate with engineering team to identify performance tuning opportunities. Create and maintain architectural and operational support documentation. Create diagrams, including infrastructure system designs. Complete capacity planning activities, including monitoring and tracking capacity metrics.

Requires Bachelors (Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or technology related field such as Electronics Engineering), or foreign degree equivalent; and 5 years of prior related experience in Network Design, Architecture and solutions implementation. Must have the following certifications: Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate; Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty; Microsoft Azure Network Engineer Associate; Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert; Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate; Fortinet Certified NSE 2 Network Security Associate; PaloAlto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer; Implementing Cisco IP Switched Networks; Cisco Certified Network Associate; and Certified Meraki Network Operator.

Allows for telecommuting up to 20% of time, within reasonable commuting distance of the reporting office in Chicago, IL.

Requires domestic travel up to 25% of the time.
