Job Description
POSITION DESCRIPTION: Lead, supervise and mentor Designer level staff; Apply engineering fundamentals and advanced concepts to execute required aspects of electrical engineering for project delivery; Perform Quality assessment reviews and meet engineering quality levels for the discipline on assigned projects; Apply risk management practices of project engineering; Manage work plans and deliverables on multiple projects within budgeted hours; Edit and develop basis of design narratives, design standards and master specifications documenting project scope; Operate and/or understand lighting calculation and electrical power analysis software (i.e., AGI 32, SKM Power Tools, Energy Pro, Revit, CYMCAP, ETAP); Evaluate Value Engineering (cost cutting) items with respect to our level of risk. 20% telecommuting allowed, 20% domestic and international travel required; must live within normal commuting distance of Chicago, IL and near a major airport.
