This part time position is to assist the Institutional Equipment Technician to maintain and repair electronic and computer equipment.
Description of Essential Functions (critical tasks)
1, Computer/printer maintenance and repair.
2. Install and maintain phone system equipment and cabling.
3. Install and maintain electronic equipment, including but not limited to sounds systems, VCR's, DVD players, classroom control systems.
4. Install and maintain network wiring, equipment racks, and miscellaneous network equipment.
5. Preventative maintenance on all forms of electronic equipment in use by Lake Land College.
6. Computer/printer maintenance and repair.
7. Install and maintain phone system equipment and cabling.
8. Install and maintain electronic equipment, including but not limited to sounds systems, VCR's, DVD players, classroom control systems.
9. Other duties as assigned.
Specific Functional Job Requirements
Education: Associate's Degree or equivalent experience required. Related coursework in the field preferred.
Experience: Personal computers, client operating systems, and common application software. Virtualization technologies and management tools associated with them.
Knowledge: Current versions of client operating systems, application software, computers, printers, basic network functions, knowledge of registry manipulation required, and virtualization experience preferred.
Skills: Ability to work with a variety of software packages and with different hardware configurations. Good debugging and analytic skills required.
Personal: Ability to work with others, good communication skills, and problem solving ability with a professional attitude.
Physical: Able to perform required position responsibilities which requires moving and setting up computer equipment.
