As an Operations Support Lead on the Engineering Enablement team, you will be responsible of/for hosted application/service health & availability, system maintenance, resilience & reliability, scalability, incident & problem management, automation and monitoring. You must love to solve problems using pragmatic industry standards and be able to think on your feet to deliver creative solutions. You must be able to understand how software runs from the barebones hardware up through the application server platform or docker ecosystem. Understanding observability of the Alight Platform is a must to help pinpoint and troubleshoot areas of the large distributed system. Toil and mundane business as usual tasks are the enemy of this role, you will want to eliminate this at all costs by implementing automation (scripted or otherwise) and simplify/streamline processes. While the role stays constant each day you will be able to showcase your skills to help build a scalable reliable platforms and solutions for our customers.

What You'll Do:
Works closely with infrastructure and production support groups to plan and implement system enhancements and upgrades to/for cloud hosted (AWS & Azure) platforms.
Demonstrates solid problem-solving techniques across multiple areas of technology and operational models
Ensure application performance is optimal and reliable by identifying blind spots and structural weaknesses in infrastructure and systems
In the event of an incident, you will facilitate service restoration calls to assess application impact, notify the business, and restore system issues followed by documenting issue summary, provide root cause analysis, and implement remediation actions.
Script and automate configuration (leveraging tools and platforms like Terraform, Ansible, shell script, PowerShell, Python, etc.) for the application to support requirements and design.
Partner closely working with the development teams throughout the life of a project to ensure operational excellence and reliability
Recommend and influence deployment patterns and changes to CI/CD pipelines
Curate (develop & enhance) real-time actionable alerts
Influence solution design and implementation to ensure platform reliability
