Technical Business Systems Analyst

Medline Industries, LP is the leading nationwide supplier of medical, surgical, and pharmaceutical products to hospitals, nursing homes, HME providers, surgery centers, physician offices and home care/hospice settings. Due to continued growth, we need a Senior Technical Business Analyst to join our IT team.

Summary

Responsible for collaborating with business partners and identifying business problems. Recommends solutions with new or existing processes, applications, systems, programs, or software. Responsible for project planning, execution, and implementation of changes to reporting solutions as well as ensuring accurate and timely data solutions delivery to business partners. Will manage and drive multiple primary assignments and handle complex issues/requests. Will act as the primary contact as a business relationship manager that will become a subject matter expert in operations data for Safety, People, Quality, Service, or Cost. You will work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment that requires you to be detail-oriented and comfortable in working with multiple business and technical teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and drive requirements-gathering sessions with multiple stakeholders with minimal dependency from the Lead or Manager.
  • Organize and engage in effective meetings with the team and business.
  • Identify the inter-dependencies of complex projects across domains. Requires leading, communication, and collaboration with cross-functional teams including senior leaders and executives.
  • Research technologies/solutions available with minimal dependency on lead/manager.
  • Take ownership of deliverables and improve existing processes. Define standards for team deliverables and processes.
  • Prioritize primary assignments and ad-hoc work for junior team members. Provide feedback to team members as required.
  • Investigate and document business requirements from business partners to facilitate discussions and conduct workflow analyses. Construct workflow charts and diagrams, study system capabilities, and write specifications.
  • Recommend solutions or improvements to business processes that can be accomplished through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology.
  • Interpret business requirements to functional designs. Collaborate with Developers and Engineers on Technical designs and development as needed.
  • Perform implementation and configuration activities including prototyping, analysis, system configuration, operational implementation, and process documentation.
  • Acts as a liaison between the IT development group and business partners for the development and implementation of new systems and enhancement of existing systems.
  • Working with large datasets within applications, developing reports and dashboards as well as the creative problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills necessary to drive change.
  • Ensures solutions are tested/validated sufficiently before being implemented in production.
  • Works with the business partners to ensure process and system changes are communicated clearly and that users are informed and/or trained sufficiently.



Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field; or equivalent work experience.

Work Experience

  • At least 4 years of experience in system analysis and configuration, such as:
  • Dashboard development experience using Tableau or other similar technology
