The Senior Manager, Value Stream Operations Lead is responsible for point of contact for all of Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality throughout the product life cycle in the assigned Value Stream. This position establishes tactical and strategic operation plans, inputs to business plans & proposals, projections and program management initiatives, establishes robust control and reporting systems, liaises with program leaders and external customers.

Management and oversight of the support and development for Value Stream Program Operations Leaders.

This role is hybrid role located in Rockford, IL. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

  • The position supports work that covers a variety of shifts in a 24-hour/seven-day schedule, as such, there may be a need to support work on occasional nights and / or weekends.
Primary Responsibilities:

+ Responsible point of contact for the shipset of products within the assigned Value Stream(s) for production planning, supply chain, production, quality and logistics to meet program milestones.

+ Successfully transition product to the factory, support on-time delivery of high-quality products, support rate-readiness activities, and achieve cost and sales targets.

+ Manage a team of 3-5 direct reports.

+ Support and facilitate Collins Management System (CMS) cadence review processes. Oversee Manufacturing Transition and Build Plan creation and maintenance.

+ Provide Customer interface in support of Value Stream operational performance and collaboration with Supply Chain.

+ Establish key elements of strategic and tactical operation plans for program management.

+ Formulate business plans, proposals, and projections based on analysis of program performance. Ensure alignment with the customer program objectives.

+ Manage control and reporting systems to monitor progress of program against plans and other metrics. Prepare forecast and status of monthly sales performance.

+ Manage and coordinate production sites and external supplier (SDE- Supplier Designed Equipment) delivery performance for both OE Production and Aftermarket requirements.

+ Identify and oversee operational and business process improvements.

+ Formulate and drive plans, root cause and corrective actions, recovery plans and projections, based on analysis of program metrics and status.

+ Support the maturity and development of the SIOP process.

+ Utilize exceptional problem-solving skills and build effective working relationships within an integrated project management team (IPT- Internal Operations sites, Supply Chain, Quality, Materials, and Engineering).

+ Utilize strong communication skills (written, verbal, presentations.

+ Travel expectation in support of the business as required ~25%

Qualifications/ Experience Needed:

+ Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience

+ U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Experience with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Product Support, Supply Chain, Contracts and Logistics management is preferred.

+ Management of direct reports is preferred.

+ Advanced degree, MBA, or Supply Chain and Operations Management is preferred.

+ Experience with lean manufacturing and ACE/CORE process techniques is preferred.

+ Aerospace Industry experience is preferred.

+ Experience with external customer interface is preferred.

+ Production configuration management, planning principles and ERP system tools (i.e. SAP), O365 suite is preferred.
