RI Digital team within Caterpillar IT is leveraging the enterprise data lake (mainly engineering and manufacturing) to support many exciting digital thread projects. The talents in our team works with business partners to research the data, define the algorithm, develop the applications, and finally deploy across Caterpillar to solve the big challenges.

Job Summary:

Provides solutions for IT and business management on applying technology to business opportunities, planning and implementation of cross-functional applications. Focus would be leading the multiple digital projects by using data (engineering, manufacturing, supply chain) and emerging technologies to develop applications, deploying the solutions across Caterpillar.

What You Will Do:

+ Provide consulting services to internal business groups on process improvement projects designed to improve their business results.

+ Leveraging engineering data lake, manufacturing data lake to develop the solutions for some enterprise level challenges, such as Green House Gas Emission calculation, enterprise item master.

+ Assist the manager to create the MGPP of multiple digital thread.

+ Analyze, define and document client’s requirements, and revise existing systems logic challenges, as necessary.

+ Monitor client experiences and feedback on the use of business applications; enhance system productivity, as needed.

+ Participate in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems that are cost effective and meet business requirements.

+ Problem Solving: Be able to solve the complex problem by innovative thinking, phased approach, and leveraging the data and analytics

+ Identifies and evaluates emerging technologies and advises clients regarding their potential business impacts.

+ Application Design, Architecture: Knowledge of basic activities and deliverables of application design; ability to utilize application design methodologies, tools and techniques to convert business requirements and logical models into a technical application design.

+ Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.

+ MUST BE WILLING TO RELOCATE TO ONE OF THESE LOCATIONS AND Work out of the office 3 times a week.

+ This position may require 10% travel.

+ Sponsorship is not available including OPT, H4-EAD. Must be US Citizen or Green Card holder.

Summary Pay Range:

$123,480.00 – $185,280.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
