Job ID #: 27935 Location: IL-ARGO Functional Area: Science Position Type: Full Time Experience Required: 3 – 5 Years Relocation Provided: No Education Required: Technical Degree RC/Department: 6454 -MWREG ARGO TERMINAL RC 6454 :KMLQT Position Description Primary purpose: Provide product quality control through sampling and analytical testing the various commodities stored at a petrochemical terminal facility. Essential duties and responsibilities: – Perform control charting and equipment calibration as required. – Customer reporting including analysis feedback reporting (SAP systems) – Manage sample retain and retention program. – Customer Quality Log development, record control and maintenance. – Generate Certificate of Analysis (COA) documents. – Research/create testing programs for new products. – Perform routine cleaning/maintenance/repair on all lab equipment. – Order lab equipment and supplies as needed. – Coverage for other terminal lab technicians and personnel as necessary. – Other duties as assigned. Position Requirements

Education and experience:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related Technical field or equivalent work experience may be used as an equivalent.

+ 3-5 year minimum experience performing and detailed knowledge of quantitative and qualitative analysis methodology.

Competencies, skills, and abilities:

+ Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisor(s), adhere to required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules, as well as, take on additional job responsibilities as needed.

+ Customer service skills, able to effectively communicate and work with all levels of management and employees, as well as external customers.

+ Strong mathematical skills (Addition, Subtraction, Fractions, Multiplication, and Percentages) are required

Physical requirements:

+ Walking up and down stairs/ladders, negotiating uneven surfaces, and carry up to 50 pounds.

+ Must be able to wear standard PPE (Hard Hat, Goggles, Rain Gear, Steel Toe Boots), and qualify to wear a Full Face Respirator.

Certifications, licenses, registrations:

+ Successful completion of a background check, physical and drug screen upon offer.

+ Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers (for travel).
