JOB TITLE: Waiter/Waitress
DEPARTMENT: Food Service
JOB SUMMARY: To provide excellent table service to the residents and guests dining at the Presbyterian Homes
REPORTS TO: Host/Hostess Supervisor

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Reports promptly to daily service meetings.
2. Completes assigned tasks before dining room opens
3. Great residents and guests in an open and friendly manner
4. Be knowledgeable of food that you are serving
5. Take orders for food
6. Serve food and beverages in the proper sequence
7. Keep tables and dining room clean by promptly and correctly removing dishes from the table and the dining room
8. Work cooperatively with coworkers and supervisor
9. Inform supervisor of any complaints, unsafe conditions, unsigned meal tickets or any other issues.
10. Perform routine cleaning assignments
11. Any other task assigned by the supervisor or director
This job description has excluded the marginal functions of this position. However, employees will be required to follow any other job related duties requested by their supervisor, and any other food service supervisor.
EDUCATION: Able to read, write and understand spoken English thoroughly
EXPERIENCE: Previous restaurant or retail experience desired but not required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to work most evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Pleasant personality
- Total commitment to customer service.
- Reliable; able to work on time and in the correct uniforms
