Position Description:

The Motus Software Quality Assurance team is looking for a seasoned Staff SQA Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be an integral part of our engineering department, providing expert guidance on all aspects of testing. You will work closely with various teams, including development, operations, and product management to define comprehensive testing strategies that align with our business goals and technical requirements. Your expertise will be essential in advising on the selection and implementation of testing tools, automating testing processes, and ensuring our products are scalable, performant, and secure. For the right candidate, this position offers an opportunity to learn and grow with the company.

To be successful, youll need to be a high-energy, quick-thinking collaborator with a passion for learning new things. Ideally, you have experience in a SaaS-based environment and have tested web and mobile apps previously. Your stellar communication skills enable you to effectively communicate test strategy and ensure teams are adopting your recommendations.

The ideal candidate has at least 6 years of prior product testing experience and is excited to put their creative problem-solving and critical thinking skills to good use by helping our teams level up their QA practices

Position Duties:

  • Develop and implement a company-wide testing strategy, including functional, performance, capacity, security, and compliance testing.
  • Contribute to the development of performance, capacity, and security test plans, ensuring our products meet the required standards and regulations.
  • Own the evaluation and development of a test data strategy generation, deidentification and anonymization of data to ensure tests are meaningful and respect privacy.
  • Advise multiple project teams on standard methodologies for testing, including tool selection and automation strategies
  • Review and provide feedback on test plans to ensure they are comprehensive, efficient, and aligned with project goals.
  • Own the evaluation and implementation of advanced testing tools and frameworks to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Deep understanding of security testing practices, including penetration testing, security scanning, and the ability to work closely with security teams to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
