MINIMUM PAY RATE:$16.47 per hour

POSITION SUMMARY
This position serves as Serves as clerk to the Adjunct Faculty Center, which requires a high level of confidentiality, professionalism, and efficiency. Position has a variety of clerical and secretarial duties requiring the exercise of discretion. Considerable judgments, initiative, and independent action in establishing or adapting work procedures to new situations are required. Work requires knowledge of the policies and procedures within the department and college system.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Respond to adjunct faculty inquiries regarding college procedures. Provide support with the use of computer and office equipment in the Center.
2. Answer phone calls, take and relay messages. Distribute adjunct faculty mail.
3. Handle emergency absence reporting, room conflicts and faculty/student communication issues.
4. Process, create, and publish results of student course evaluations.
5. Process equipment and supply requests, work orders and other facility related requests.
6. Prepare and type correspondence, documents, internal and external reports, and other related materials. Update and maintain distribution lists, wall mounted computer displays/announcements, handouts, department manual, and files.
7. Maintain a high level of confidentiality related to students, faculty and staff.
8. Work collaboratively across college departments and with individuals.
9. Plan and schedule appointments, events, and maintain calendars.
10. Notify department chairs and secretaries of instructor notices related to tardiness or absence.
11. Review office procedures and suggest necessary changes.
12. Participate in achieving departmental and college goals and objectives.
13. Perform related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1.High school degree or equivalent.
2.Three (3) years of progressively responsible clerical experience.
3.Extensive personal computer skills and a thorough knowledge of software applications including Microsoft Office and Excel, Student Information Systems such as Datatel or Workday, e-mail, and Internet.
4.Effective organizational and interpersonal skills.
5.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, customer-focused and rapidly-changing environment.
6.Self-motivated, self-directed work ethic, and enthusiastic contributing team member.
7.Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with other members of the college and community, displaying cultural competence as well as emotional intelligence.
8.Demonstrated commitment to the college's core values of respect and inclusion, sustainability, integrity, collaboration, humor and well-being, innovation and quality.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1.Associate's degree.
2.English and Spanish verbal and written communication proficiency.
3.Demonstrated multicultural competence.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
1.Normal office physical demands.
2.Ability to travel between campus locations and to and from community events.
3.Ability to travel in state and nationally.

WORKING CONDITIONS
1.Duties are performed indoors in the usual office and/or outdoor environment.
