As an Engineering Project Manager, you will manage multiple projects of small multi-disciplinary engineering teams in the design, development, and production of cutting-edge custom products. The Engineering Project Manager has ultimate technical decision-making control and is the primary project point-of-contact to internal and external customers.

Responsibilities include:

Project Manager for multiple projects valued in the $500k to $5M range

Coordinate a mix of engineering development and small-scale production activities in the area of custom products

Point-of-contact for customers and the leader of day-to-day activities of small (1-10 person), multidisciplinary project teams, including both junior and senior level engineers

Take projects through the entire life cycle from project conception and proposal through design and production utilizing existing process methodologies

Responsible for coordinating with both internal and external groups to meet the cost, schedule and technical goals of the program while managing risk and motivating the team

Contribute to the growth of the organization via interaction with senior management, peers, and subordinates

Manage and complete performance reviews for project team members

Participate in department growth and process improvement activities.

Have ultimate technical decision-making control during the development of cutting-edge products.

Lead your project teams via daily interactions, weekly meetings, and monthly customer reviews.

Additional Qualified Skills

Strong technical background in wireless communication technologies

Experience managing people OR leading a project

High-level knowledge of design principles for both hardware and software engineering

Ability to analyze and evaluate technical trade-offs is essential while also considering the impacts to cost and schedule

Possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills as well as strong written and verbal communication skills

Experience in project management

Occasional domestic travel is required

7+ years of engineering experience
