Northwestern University is seeking a temporary full-time Accounting Specialist for the Chicago campus.

Temporary Job Description:

• Completes & maintains transactions in enterprise systems.
• Reconciles transactions.
• Based on pre-defined practice, reviews transaction.
• Ensures appropriate approval, forms, &/or justifications are obtained.
• Verifies rates and amounts.
• Reconcile es discrepancies.
• Troubleshoots problems & corrects or escalates.
• Enters information into database.
• Follows-up to ensure completion & accuracy.
• Reviews and resolves open encumbrances.

Qualifications Required:

A bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience;

Strong writing skills;

High level of organizational skills and attention to detail;
