Position Summary
The Department of Surgery, Division of Surgical Oncology at the University of Illinois at Chicago is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate.

The department is seeking a highly motivated candidate, with a PhD or equivalent in Cancer Biology and Tumor Imaging or related field. A solid background in cancer research along with a strong publication record. The successful candidate will participate actively in the execution of research projects and ensure smooth functioning of the lab's day to day activities.

Duties & Responsibilities

Design and conduct independent research
Maintain compliance with good laboratory practice including the maintenance of adequate research records
Develop proficiency in research techniques and problem-solving abilities
Participate in manuscript and grant writing
Build a publication record
Collegial conduct towards co-trainees, staff members and members of the research group
Perform other project related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications


A recent PhD in cancer biology or related field
Experience with handling and using rodent models
Attention to detail and multi-tasking are crucial for success in this role
