Your Role At Baxter:
This position interfaces with a broad spectrum of Finance and non-Finance personnel globally - both in the businesses and across Corporate functions such as Investor Relations, Treasury, Tax, Stockholder Services and Legal. The position provides excellent top-level exposure to the financial performance of Baxter and each of its businesses. The position also provides excellent exposure and development in U.S. GAAP and SEC rules. Principle responsibilities include the following:

What You'll be Doing:
Managing the consolidation team through monthly close of global financials, involving intercompany transaction review and resolution
Detailed review of consolidated financials, cash flow reporting, and presentation and explanation of results to upper management, ensuring completeness and accuracy according to US GAAP requirements and adherence to internal controls
Review of monthly management reporting packages
Review and approval of all updates and changes to the global consolidation and reporting tool, Oracle FCCS
Strategize for the optimization of consolidation and reporting procedures, including reducing the time to close and report results and finding efficiencies and improvements in the reporting process
Collaborating across our global organization to develop financial information and analysis supporting internal and external reporting needs
Review, resolution, and application of technical accounting issues as related to SEC disclosure requirements and consolidated reporting
Evaluating the impacts of new accounting and reporting rules within the system and leading corresponding implementation
Liaising with internal and external auditors
Leading special projects related to financial reporting or new/developing accounting topics, M&A activity, accounting system updates, as required

What You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (or country equivalent)
CPA required
10 plus years of Technical Accounting Experience
Experience with Revenue Recognition preferred
Superior written and oral communication skills to communicate with all levels of the organization
Ability to work in a team environment, time-management and problem-solving skills a must
Advanced Excel, data mining and ERP systems experience required

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $128,000 to $176,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses and long-term incentive.
