Job Description
Actalent is hiring 6 Mechanical Engineers for Product Design roles in a large automotive product development team. We are interviewing and making job offers for May 2024 graduates!
Description:
Our customer is an industry leader in work-truck manufacturing. They continue to grow their specialty products line and create opportunity to grow the team. We offer relocation assistance for this role as well.
1. Responsible for providing accurate and timely product designs using SolidWorks 3D software.
2. Designing based on customer specifications and/or custom quotes coming in from the field.
3. Responsible for designing new products as well as continuous design improvements of existing equipment.
4. Responsible for designing with cost in mind and also serve as a liaison between fab and assembly by resolving any issues that surface.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineer highly preferred; will consider Associate’s degree in CAD PLUS 2+ years of professional mechanical design experience.
+ 3D modeling and design experience is required, school projects and internships/co-ops included. (Solidworks preferred)
+ 2D and 3D CAD skills – AutoCAD and Solidworks combination is ideal.
+ Hands on mechanical aptitude – understands mechanical systems and design for manufacturing.
+ Passion for fixing things, automotive repairs, engine work, etc.
+ Excellent communication and presentation skills.
