New career opportunity for a global energy company that is seeking a Project Estimator to add to their team in Chicago, Illinois. The Project Estimator will oversea construction projects and travel is less than 25% with onsite office in Chicago. Expertise in Renewable Energy such as wind, solar and battery is desirable. B.S. Construction Management or 8-10 years of current experience is required and Spanish language skills is a plus but not required. Company offers career growth opportunities to include world wide locales. Cosntruction Estimation is required and technical skills with software such as MC2, Timberline/SageCRE, QuickBid are some estimating software examples. Salary is $125K+ DOE with 10-15% annual bonus. Relocation Program is offered.

responsibilities:
Develop and prepare conceptual estimates with minimal subcontractor assistance using limited preliminary design documents/information for future projects in early development stages.
Develop contractor/subcontract interest in projects and manage the subcontractor RFP process.
Assist in the preparation of bid packages, specifically schedule of values and quantities, for engineering and construction projects.
Assist in the preparation of detailed critical path job schedules.
Evaluate bid responses received from contractors and subcontractors.
Develop resource loading and/or evaluate resource loading provided by contractors/subcontractors.
Maintain and calibrate the construction estimating tool.
Track the market and follow market trends (commodity and labor pricing).
Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times.
Monitor the construction process to support the Construction team in responses to change order requests from contractors and subcontractors.
Develop and maintain relationships with contractors and subcontractors in the various markets.
