Provider Network Negotiation Specialist

PRIMARY PURPOSE : To negotiate letters of agreement with out of network providers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Negotiates fee-for-service ancillary services with out of network providers.

+ Locates out of network providers and secure staffing when no in-network provider is available.

+ Assist contract managers by sending leads for future contracting.

+ Maintaining and monitoring the use of out of network providers.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSBILITIES

+ Performs other duties as assigned.

+ Supports the organization’s quality program(s).

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

High School

Experience

One to two years negotiations experience in a healthcare setting or provider services experience.

Skills & Knowledge

+ Excellent negotiation skills

+ Excellent oral and written communication

+ PC literate, including Microsoft Office products

+ Strong organizational skills

+ Ability to work in a team environment

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
