Job Title: Repair Technician
Position Type: Temp to Hire
Pay Range: $22-$44/hr.

Summary
Provide repair, maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and testing of company refrigerated air cargo containers in compliance with Federal Aviation Association (FAA) standards.
Essential Functions & Duties:
Receive, inspect, and release company refrigerated air cargo containers.
Repair or replace defective equipment parts and reassemble equipment.
Perform routine preventative maintenance and service on refrigerated air cargo containers.
Perform testing/troubleshooting of refrigerated air cargo containers.
Operate hand and power tools, measuring instruments, and electrical testing devices.
Clean inside and outside of containers.
Prepare outgoing containers for shipment.
Understand and follow procedures within maintenance documents.
Loading and unloading of trucks with forklifts
Ensure accurate and timely completion of work orders.
Maintain repair facility in a clean, safe, and operational condition.
Follow STOP safety procedures.
Demonstrate and maintain lean (5S) principles.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Strong mechanical aptitude
Basic electrical aptitude
Basic knowledge of maintenance manuals
Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft office, internet, email, etc.)
Read, speak, and understand the English language.
Must possess analytical and critical thinking skills.
Must demonstrate organizational skills and exercise attention to detail.
Ability to shift priorities while meeting turnaround time.
Must be able to work well as a team and independently.
Safety driven
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent
2+ years practical, hands-on aviation maintenance, electrical, or HVAC related experience preferred
EPA Section 608 license type 1 and/or universal, preferred
Repairmen/FAA certification experience, preferred
Forklift operating experience, preferred
Physical Requirements:
Walking, carrying, stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting, stretching,
Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time on concrete floor
Able to lift 60 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Work Environment:
Repair facility environment, some travel (typically less than 10%).
Some overtime during weekdays and weekends may be required, based on customer requirements.
