Job Description

We are working with a client that is in need of a temporary SR Accountant. This is estimated to last 6 months at this time and is hybrid 4 days in office, 1 day remote once trained. At least 3 years of corporate accounting experience is a must, as well as a bachelor's degree, proficiency with MS Excel, JDE and Power BI is a plus. Position Summary:
* Prepare standard and recurring journal entries
* Prepare monthly corporate balance sheet account reconciliations
* Perform General Ledger month end close activities
* Support monthly reporting activities
* Prepare monthly reporting and analysis
* Support quarterly forecast and annual budget process
* Other project or duties as assigned

Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
* 3-5 years of current general accounting experience
* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
* Experience with other Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Power Point)
* Possess a professional demeanor
* Ability to work extended hours as needed
* Strong analytical skills with an ability to focus on the details
* Strong interpersonal and exceptional problem-solving skills
* Ability to understand, develop and refine processes
* Ability to meet deadlines and deal with pressures associated with those deadlines
* Ability to handle multiple tasks and/or projects at one time
* Strong written and oral communication skills
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Preferred
* Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
* Experience with JD Edwards One World 9.2 ERP software
* Experience with Blackline Software - account recons, journals, tasks
* Experience with PowerBi
* Experience with Planful/Host Analytics
* Experience working in a distribution or manufacturing environment
