Job Description

Senior Group Product Manager for Paylocity Corporation in Schaumburg, IL to assist Product Managers to define longterm strategies, outcomes, and success metrics. Build domain knowledge and competitive intelligence in the product operation. Drive transparency, collaboration, and the pressure testing of ideas within the team. Work with Product Mangers to evangelize and gain buy-in on their vision to VP/Directors and C-level executives. Remove roadblocks, and surface and mitigate short-term risks. Make opportunity/cost/resource trade-offs with guidance from leadership. Stay connected with engineering leaders on vision, timelines, risks, and team dynamics. Stay connected with design leadership on timelines, long-term vision, design needs and priorities. Coach their team to develop a vision for each of their products. Ensure the quality of that vision. Align with stakeholders and collaborate with Product peers are critical in this role. Help Product Managers define long-term strategies, outcomes, and success metrics. Build domain knowledge and competitive intelligence in the product areas that the Product team operates in. Drive transparency, collaboration, and the pressure testing of ideas within the team. Requires: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Electrical Engineering, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus eight (8) years of experience as Senior Product Manager (or closely related occupation) in performing product management. Specific skills/other requirements - Must also possess the following: DE identifying new areas for product development by analyzing customer requirements, market trends, and competitive gaps, including the use of quantitative and qualitative methods. Championing and presenting the strategic vision, roadmap, and Return on Investment (ROI) analysis to management, and key stakeholders and gaining leadership buy-in on strategy and roadmap for these new product ideas; DE partnering with Engineering partners to coordinate development, implementation, and bringing out new products out to market, as well as developing metrics, systems, and processes to measure effectiveness of experiences delivered, driving adoption, including developing innovative marketing strategies, and identifying opportunities for further optimization; DE using Agile and Scrum Methodologies to manage product backlog and execute on features. Managing, triaging, and prioritizing customer feedback within tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Office 365, or Zendesk; DE developing user flows and customer journey mappings using tools, such as LucidChart, Adobe XD, Invision, and Figma; DE leading, developing, and mentoring Product Managers at varying stages of their careers; and DE working in the Human Resources Technology Industry/Domain with a focus on Workforce management products.
