Job Description

JOB OVERVIEW

Under general direction, oversees the implementation of various national Leadership Skills Training Programs for Chief Residents, which are experiential learning programs hosted and facilitated by the ACGME annually. Develops marketing and registration content. Organizes and consolidates data from event outcomes and prepares reports.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages the implementation of the ACGME’s Leadership Skills Training Programs for Chief Residents by identifying venues, negotiating agreements, scheduling facilitators, and serving as on-site liaison for program events.
  • Researches, negotiates, and initiates venue agreements; assesses overall program costs and recommends tuition fees for each event.
  • Manages programmatic operations (registration, materials, pre-workshop Myers Briggs Type Indicator assessments, travel, expenses, venue logistics, mailings).
  • Develops program brochures and registration content for posting in collaboration with appropriate ACGME departments; creates and manages program timelines; monitors registrations.
  • Organizes and maintains data from event outcomes, including program evaluations, participant count, and residency program representation for future decision-making and potential scholarly presentation/publication.
  • Prepares a variety of reports and correspondence.
  • Provides administrative support to well-being programs within the Department of Education, including the ACGME Well-being Symposium.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

None

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two years of event planning and management experience, including virtual and in-person events.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Formal training in experiential learning and training in a facilitative meeting environment.
  • Experience in scheduling.

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILL SETS, AND ABILITIES

  • Demonstrated ability in event/meeting planning and management.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to organize simultaneous events.
  • Strong customer relations skills with the ability to build and maintain third-party relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate independent initiative, seeking guidance as appropriate.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT/CONDITIONS

  • This position is based in a typical office environment with no specific or unusual physical or environmental demands.
  • Most of the work performed is normally done in the ACGME office and/or a home office with the typical physical demands of an office environment.
  • Must be able to work efficiently and effectively remotely.
  • Traveling to the workshop locations, and to venues for site visits, is required.
