Job Description

JOB OVERVIEW

Under general supervision, develops, plans, executes, and maintains processes, workflows, and initiatives related to accreditation/recognition site visit scheduling, the Accreditation Data System (ADS), report forms, Site Visit Reports, and other activities within Field Activities and linked to the accreditation, recognition, Sponsoring Institution, and ACGME International groups. Coordinates the Accreditation Field Representative recruitment process, including tracking candidates, organizing interviews, and planning onboarding and orientation. Coordinates logistics of the ACGME Annual Educational Conference for Field Activities. Oversees the Nathan Blank Fellowship process and operations.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops, plans, executes, and maintains processes, workflows, and initiatives related to accreditation/recognition site visit scheduling, report forms, Site Visit Reports, and other activities within Field Activities and linked to the accreditation, recognition, Sponsoring Institution, and ACGME International groups.
  • Works with department leadership and the Department of Information Services to identify and implement process and technological improvements to the ADS.
  • Performs administrative tasks relating to meeting management, including calendar organization for the Field Activities team, and interdepartmental coordination between Field Activities and the accreditation, recognition, Sponsoring Institution, and ACGME International groups.
  • Coordinates the Accreditation Field Representative recruitment process, including tracking candidate information, scheduling phone screenings and interviews, collecting candidate and interviewer feedback, and communicating with candidates throughout the process.
  • Coordinates logistics and facilitates sessions associated with the multi-day Accreditation Field Representative orientation, including the six-month training program associated with being a credible Accreditation Field Representative.
  • Serves as the project manager for the Field Activities contributions and participation in ACGME Annual Educational Conference activities.
  • Collaborates with the Departments of Education and Sponsoring Institution and Clinical Learning Environment Programs, as well as other Department of Accreditation, Recognition, and Field Activities staff members to develop guides, resources, and training materials, as well as general guidance to better support the Annual Educational Conference sessions facilitated by Accreditation Field Representatives
  • Complies and assesses the Annual Educational Conference survey data in partnership with Field Activities leadership to ensure facilitated sessions consistently meet the needs of the graduate medical education community.
  • Oversees the ACGME’s Nathan Blank Fellowship processes and operations, including serving as the main contact and resource for questions, performing all administrative tasks required to support and advance the fellowship, and coordinating presentations of Nathan Blank Fellows at ACGME meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Three years’ planning and coordination experience in business administration, human services, health care administration, or a related area requiring significant external and internal interactions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Preferred

  • Project Management Professional certification.

  • Exceptional writing skills, including grammar and proofreading.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a workload of diverse tasks.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workflow.
  • Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
  • Well-developed sense of judgment and discretion to deal appropriately with confidential information.
  • Team-oriented approach and ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and departments.
  • Extremely detail oriented in approaching assigned tasks.
  • Skilled and resourceful in researching and investigating questions and issues to identify solutions and action plans.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT/CONDITIONS

  • This position is based in a typical office environment with no specific or unusual physical or environmental demands.
  • Most of the work performed is normally done in the ACGME office and/or a home office with the typical physical demands of an office environment.
  • Traveling to the Annual Educational Conference is encouraged.
