Director, Account Management Strategy

A&M's Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) practice is interested in someone who is looking for a home - who wants to take on the leadership of an established Relationship Management (RM) function over time from the current Chief Commercial Officer of this practice of 600 + professionals.

Professional Experience:

We seek a financially astute, strategically inclined professional who understands how professional services firms operate, as well as the PE industry, and will work hands on with leadership to execute growth strategies. This is more of a sales operations and strategy role, not a direct sales role, although direct to client sales experience is also a plus.

Above all, we seek a professional who can jump in and be part of a dynamic, client-responsive team. We support a practice that is in high demand, and our role in the commercial function is to execute and prioritize appropriate growth initiatives for the respective service lines.

Responsibilities:

  • Co-lead the key account management program for the practice in coordination with the global firm, including hosting regular account calls for priority clients, tracking/reporting on progress, and execution of actions related to growth goals.
  • Manage account management data site.
  • Communicate with leadership on KPIs, best practices and updates.
  • Co-development of a practice wide on-line proposal site.
  • Co-lead the development and execution of effective go-to-market campaigns for new services.
  • Identification of emerging market trends and their implications to service gaps and opportunities, as well as go-to-market approaches.
  • Work with A&M's internal marketing team to create and execute campaigns that support the practice.
  • Serve as "growth coach" to MD leaders on their accounts and practices.



Qualifications:

  • 8-10+ years of professional services business development, strategy and marketing experience REQUIRED.
  • Proven track record of managing and supporting a business development function for a professional services practice REQUIRED.
  • Private Equity experience highly desirable.
  • Ability to productively influence up and across the organization. We seek a team player, not a lone wolf.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, both to share visions/ideas, and to identify and manage conflict, risks, and challenges.
  • Creative problem solving and ideation skills.
  • Proven project management skills.
  • Experience with CRM tools especially Salesforce. Ability to lead an in-process conversion of account data to the Salesforce platform with CFO office assistance.
  • Understanding of basic Excel, Tableau, Power BI, AI and other related platforms.



The salary range is $150,000-$225,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
