Job Description
CDW Technologies LLC seeks a ServiceNow Senior Solution Architect to perform the following duties:
- Provide guidance and technical support on client facing solutions leveraging the ServiceNow platform. Structure and implement solutions and take overall ownership for the quality of the technical requirements delivered to customers on the ServiceNow platform.
- Lead the technical onboarding efforts with new clients to understand their processes and platform configurations.
- Ensure the quality of work delivered by the technical team and serve as an escalation point for client concerns.
- Understand customer requirements, translate to solutions, and communicate results to clients.
- Lead the development and delivery of IT service management solutions in client environments.
- Define technical solutions at an architectural and design level of detail and ensure solutions are aligned with business problems and ServiceNow implementation best practices.
- Serve as primary technical point-of-contact for projects and as the face of the development team for customers.
- Identify and implement technical team process efficiencies to benefit both the technical team and the clients.
- Responsible for Sprint demos and delivery of additional development artifacts, documentation, and knowledge transfer activities.
- Write and estimate software stories, monitor and perform development, and own overall quality and delivery of development.
- Monitor for scope creep and resolve critical path technical issues and challenges.
- Maintain expert knowledge of the ServiceNow platform, products and integration including SSO, SAML, SSL, Web Services, LDAP, JDBC, ODBC, REST, SCP, FTP
- Configure LDAP to integrate third-party tool Active Directory into ServiceNow.
- Configure JDBC connection to integrate external databases such as Oracle into ServiceNow.
- Mentor Developers, Technical Consultants, and other Solution Architects in relation to technical design standards and implementation of best practices.
- Perform research into technology partner or other vendor solutions to meet client requirements for integration.
- Perform scripting in the ServiceNow platform using JavaScript: Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions, UI Pages, UI Policies, AngularJS, Jelly.
- Assist the Pre-Sales team with scoping service engagements typically involving multiple ServiceNow products and complex integrations with client applications/systems.
- Contribute to the continual improvement of Delivery Services processes as well as the maturing of different portfolios, capabilities, expertise and best practices for customer needs and requirements.
- Utilize a variety of other tools and technologies including Agile/Scrum methodology.
The job is based out of CDW’s Vernon Hills, IL headquarters but the employee may work remotely from anywhere in the U.S. Up to 25% national travel also required.
