Job Description
Manual Machinist
Peoria, IL/ $25- $26hr/Full time
Aerotek is now hiring for a manual machinist in the manufacturing field in Peoria, IL to utilize various machines to manufacture parts!
Description:
+ Operate manual machines including lathes, mills, grinders, and press brakes
+ Read and interpret fabrication blueprints and drawings
+ Use gauges, micrometers, calipers, and other measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements
+ Perform routine maintenance on machine tools and equipment daily
+ Utilize equipment including vertical milling machines, horizontal bandsaws, drill presses, hydraulic tube benders, hydraulic presses, and lathes
+ Set up machines and properly use inserts, fixtures, and tooling
+ Coordinate with engineering department and production team lead
+ Utilize machining knowledge to provide budgetary labor estimates on work pieces
+ Follow all safety rules and regulations
Qualifications:
+ Previous experience with machining tools and equipment
+ Experience working with manual machines
+ High attention to detail
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ Experience with Microsoft Office Programs
