Your role at Baxter
The Director, Home Patient Fleet (Americas), is a key leadership role responsible for leading all aspects of the efficient and timely delivery of medical products to over 100K patients' homes across the United States, Canada, and Mexico for the Kidney Care Business Segment.
Responsible for the Operational planning, execution, and management, to ensure the successful deployment and delivery of life sustaining and saving products to patients' homes.
Lead the team to achieve the efficient service level, cost, and safety of our internal and external fleet drivers.
Your team
Lead a complementary team of over 400+ fleet Managers, drivers, and routers by providing leadership, mentorship, and performance feedback to cultivate a successful operations and safety culture.
Collaborate with cross-functional Commercial and Integrated Supply Chain teams to ensure alignment of Fleet operations with overall business growth, goals, and objectives.
What you'll be doing
Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize transportation operations, ensuring timely and safe delivery of medical products to over ~100K patients' homes.
Own an operating budget of ~$150M and maintain a high level of financial accuracy/competence through the budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting cycles.
Supervise Fleet management, including equipment leases, maintenance, and compliance with regulatory and quality requirements.
Establish and maintain relationships with 3rd party carriers and contingent labor services through contract negotiations and leading service level performance / metrics.
Implement and supervise key performance indicators to assess and improve "final mile" transportation efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer happiness.
Develop and implement Business Continue programs across the organization to mitigate any potential disruption caused by weather, labor negotiations, civil unrest, or any other unforeseen circumstances.
What you'll bring
Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or other Supply Chain related field required.
10+ years of experience within logistics operations and management.
Comprehensive knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements in the US, Canada, and Mexico.
Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team of Fleet Managers, drivers, and routers while driving a safety-first culture.
Extensive experience managing both P&L and balance sheet budgets and creating capital expense justification.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $160,000 - $240,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, commission, and/or long-term incentive.
