Description
Provide classroom instruction to students within Allied Health Programs to ensure achievement of course and program outcomes.
 Description of Essential Functions (critical tasks)

Teach in the classroom, skills lab, or clinical setting following approved course outlines, course syllabi, and program handbooks.
Arrive at the classroom, skills lab, or clinical setting prior to scheduled instructional time, allowing for classroom, skills lab, or clinical preparation.
Be available to students, considering the unique needs of each student. Refer to students to College support services as needed.
Respond to student inquiries in a timely manner, assists students in solving problems, and serve as a facilitator in reaching course and program goals.
Remain current with content, technology, and instructional methods and strategies in the assigned area of instruction.
Other duties as assigned.
 Specific Functional Job Requirements

Education: Master's degree in Nursing Education or a related advanced practice nursing program preferred, Minimum of Bachelor degree. Current Illinois license to practice professional nursing. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience and two years experience in clinical nursing practice. May require additional training as mandated by IDPH or Accreditation standards.
Experience: Two years experience in clinical nursing practice.
Knowledge: Curriculum development, assessment, community college philosophy and population.
Skills: Must be clinically competent in patient centered care for the discipline being taught.
Personal: Demonstrate highest levels of professionalism, communication, time management, and organization.
