Job Description

Jones Lang LaSalle, an international commercial real estate firm, is seeking a skilled and motivated Infrastructure Executive with expertise in both traditional infrastructure and cloud infrastructure technologies to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of global data center operational services to our clients and users, ensuring exceptional quality and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing global technical teams, previous hands-on experience in network, data center and infrastructure as well as previous Data Center infrastructure architecture experience. Previous experience with data center networks setup and support and previous experience and knowledge with supporting data centers, including design, migrations, data center moves and consolidations.

Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a diverse team, fostering a collaborative culture to drive innovation in global data center operations.
Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements, proactively identifying and addressing risks and vulnerabilities.
Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and standards to maintain reliable and secure global data centers.
Oversee monitoring, maintenance, and audits of data center facilities worldwide.
Ensure uninterrupted operation of global data centers, implementing strategies for maintenance, upgrades, and scalability.
Efficiently manage infrastructure outages, minimizing impact on business operations.
Lead capacity planning efforts, aligning data center resources with business requirements.
Collaborate cross-functionally to plan and execute global data center projects.
Drive data center optimizations, including location moves, consolidations, and enhancements.
Develop and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Conduct regular testing and exercises to validate the effectiveness of plans.
Analyze data center performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Serve as a point of escalation for incidents, coordinating response efforts.
Implement best practices, automate processes, and stay current with infrastructure technologies.
Act as a strategic liaison between the team and senior executives.
Foster communication and collaboration across departments to address cross-functional challenges.
Collaborate with vendors to ensure reliable infrastructure services for global data centers.
Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports to senior executives, summarizing infrastructure performance and ongoing projects.
Provide actionable recommendations to improve the stability of data center operations.
Align data center operations with strategic goals and objectives.
Participate in executive meetings for planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Work closely with senior executives to manage the budget for data center operations.
Justify investment requests, highlighting ROI and business benefits.

Experience & Education
Masters/bachelor's degree in information & computer science
10+ years of technical hands-on infrastructure support.
10+ years of technical hands-on network support.
5+ years as previous infrastructure and data centre architect
5+ years in technical management of data centre operations
3+ years' experience in deploying cloud data centre and operations
7+ years of leading and managing global teams.
7+ years of IT operational delivery support.
10+ years of Customer Service and Leadership
2+ years of experience in migrating on-premises workloads to the public cloud.
