Position Title: Graphic Designer

Job Location: Milan, IL


Position Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $24.00 - $25.00 Hourly

Job Shift: 1st Shift

Description:

Responsible for daily assigned graphic production and processes including, but not limited to, creative design concept, implementation, and final output.

Primary Tasks:

  • Daily design work utilizing Adobe Creative Cloud specifically InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Routine design work utilizing Microsoft products specifically Word and PowerPoint
  • Design and develop compelling print and digital content for Group O and its clients within brand requirements/guidelines
  • Collaborate with internal departments to determine client needs and ensure the needs/requests of clients are met and completed
  • Make final files ready for internal press and/or outside print vendors. Duties include preparing files for print, pre-flighting press ready files, impositioning press files, and ability to work with pre-press software as required
  • Utilize creative thinking for design concepts that might be out of scope, brainstorm and follow through with creation of ideas
  • Provide professional output of sample files, graphics, and support for presentations and proposals
  • Stay abreast of new technology, market trends, software and upgrades
  • Learn new software as required, explore options for technology improvement, and provide feedback on current industry trends

Secondary Tasks:

  • Collaborative brainstorming amongst the team, providing peer reviews and feedback of work
  • Continual learning and support as needed
  • Keep work station at optimal performance


Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work-related experience in the field

Skills:

  • High skill level with InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat
  • Familiarity with Premiere Pro and/or After Effects
  • Strong ability to design in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel
  • Ability to multitask and utilize resources to execute tasks within a deadline-oriented environment
  • Creative problem solving
  • Highly motivated and detail orientated
  • Ability to operate both Macintosh and PC platforms as needed
  • Equally comfortable working independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team environment

Experience:

  • Portfolio work showcasing your talent as a creative visual professional
  • Photo and video shooting and editing experience a plus
  • Minimum 2-year relevant work history
