Job Description

Job Duties include but not limited to: Ensures that the human rights of clients served are upheld in accordance with state and federal rules. Prevents, recognizes, and intervenes in accordance with OIG Abuse/Neglect Rule 50 and health, safety, and infection control procedures to ensure clients are kept safe and secure. Communicates and interacts with clients and peers in an effective, ethical and professional manner. Understands and actively participates in the service plan implementation as assigned by the Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional – QIDP. Assists clients with activities of daily living, personal care and hygiene, mobility, medication administration, and dietary needs. Understands and administers first aid, CPR, and monitors/reports vitals as required and communicates the health status of clients to the Registered Nurse. Effectively intervenes and participates in behavior intervention program as written per client, as applicable. Completes all required forms and documentation in a timely and efficient manner. Demonstrates active involvement in team/program meetings, supervision, and agency/community events and activities as assigned. Ability to screen, assess and provide interventions for clients that are exhibiting symptoms of trauma.
