Overview: Large scale project dedicated to processing the intake of 40,000+ paper I-9s from over 300 locations across the business and assembling for digitizing and auditing by external I-9 vendor.
2+ years’ HR or HR Compliance experience. Similar to a HR Generalist or HR Compliance Specialist role.
Essential Functions
Following verbal and written instructions, work with a cross-functional team to:
• Organize each site’s paper I-9s in prescribed manner for further analysis.
• Conduct research analysis in electronic HR systems to identify opportunities and collaborate with Client Compliance team on problem resolution.
• Assess and surface compliance questions and issues.
• Gather metrics for reporting and maintaining documentation as required.
• Assemble each site’s paper I-9s and associated documents in compliance with shipping and vendor requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Minimum of two (2) years of HR or HR Compliance experience.
• Gain understanding of I-9s and vendor’s I-9 electronic system and ability to provide guidance to field HR regarding I-9 compliance requirements and best practices.
• SHRM and/or HRCI certification a plus.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of personal information in I-9 files.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team with periodic feedback.
• Good communication skills both verbal and written.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience with an I-9 Management system preferred, i.e., Guardian, Equifax.
• Successful completion of a background check and drug screening is required.
