Job Description
Pay: Level One candidates begin at $27.43, plus we offer a $1.75 shift differential for third shift. Employees are also eligible for up to 7% quarterly bonus pay.

What the Technician is Responsible for:
This is a partial description of essential functions intended to give the candidate a general idea of the work performed.
This position is responsible for supporting production by bringing equipment to base condition through a variety of Industrial Maintenance functions.
- The technician will also interpret blueprints, fabricate meal, perform plumbing, pneumatic and millwright activities and display an understanding of motors and drives.
- This position is responsible for collaborating with production staff to enhance the reliability of production equipment, and completion of repair tasks in a manner that minimizes reactive downtime.
- Duties will also include problem solving and troubleshooting, operating computerized systems, maintenance software and hand-held devices, attending meetings and completing paperwork.

Technical
- Use a PC for communication, parts research, and maintenance system purposes which includes purchasing parts as needed.
- Demonstrate strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Follow specific maintenance procedures concerning PMs, schedules and documentation requirements.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, and represent Continental Mills to outside contacts in a professional manner.
- Climb ladders and lift/push/pull using proper techniques up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
- Work in confined spaces and elevated heights (up to 45 feet) safely.
- Confront issues by focusing on solutions that satisfy both internal and external customers.
- Must pass mechanical and electrical aptitude and knowledge test
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Food manufacturing experience is desired and a plus.
- Exposure to PLC,SLC 500/PLC5/RS Logics/Device Net preferred.
- Exposure toAC and DC motors, VFD and VSD drive experience preferred
- Relevant trade or technical school training preferred.
Communication
- Communicate clearly using a variety of media.
- Must have proven experience in oral and written communication.
- Experience working collaboratively with contractors and vendors.
