RSM's Payroll Services practice is looking to add a dynamic Payroll Specialist with a team-oriented mindset and a love for collaborating and helping clients solve problems. This is a unique opportunity to work remotely while being a valued member of our high-performing team. You'll process full-cycle payroll and get to work with some cool customers and colleagues. Responsibilities:
Process full cycle, multi-state payroll for RSM's clients. Expected to have general knowledge of payroll compliance and payroll tax laws
Will reconcile and work on tax balancing per period, quarter and annually using liability reporting, fund collection reporting, and agency returns
Year-end processing, tax reconciliations
Prepare and distribute payroll reports to clients and internal leaders
Maintain strong relationships both internally and externally with key stakeholdersand collaborate with cross functional teams
Continuously identify problems, unexpected data trends and determine root cause to offer our clients a solution
Continuously learn and stay informed about changes in payroll regulations to ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws
Maintain confidentiality of client information at all times

Qualifications:
Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance or any related field is preferred, but not a requirement
2+ years of full cycle payroll processing experience in a multi-state environment
Experience with one or more of these systems: ADP, Workday, UKG, Dayforce or Paycom
Microsoft Office 365, Excel (including basic formulas and VLOOKUP's)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent critical thinking skills with an emphasis on problem-spotting and problem solving
Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience working in an outsource PEO environment or professional services
CPP or FCP certification
Experience with Canadian payroll
