The Major Account Manager will own a specified territory and is uniquely positioned for a bold leader who is craving full ownership and accountability for our products and customers within the assigned Accounts. This person is the expert within the Ingredients segment working to drive strong performance through channel initiatives and gap planning analysis with a data driven strategy.

This is not a traditional sales role. We are searching for a candidate who shows a high level of ownership for their business and is adept at selling solutions and has a consistent track record to win new business. The right candidate will be eager to be an influential from day one. This role reports to the Director of Sales.

Due to customer and team connectivity, we require this role to be based in located in the mid-west or west-coast regions - specifically Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona, Wisconsin, Illinois
Primary Responsibilities

Prepare, present and own the sales planning process for assigned region.

Build profitable sales in the assigned territory through additional sales with current customers and demonstrate commitment to prospecting and new business development.

Employ a consultative sales approach that focuses on building long term, strategic relationships with account's key decision makers, penetrating their business further.

Deliver quarterly and annual growth goals, increase opportunity pipeline, and grow profitably

Liaise between Kraft Heinz and customers to develop influential relationships with our key partners, and establish new partnerships

Develop and track against performance and sales metrics; report on progress (including wins, gaps, and non-performance) in critical sales meetings

Collaborate cross-functionally to develop innovation with customers, aid in the development of new sku's and customer sales collateral

Challenge both internal and external teams to drive creative ideas that capitalize on business opportunities

Responsible for growing sales with assigned customers; Joint Business Planning with small to mid-tier accounts

Collaborate with Marketing to develop selling stories based on insights and analytic data

Maintain a clear updated view of your sales pipeline; actively build sales opportunity pipeline to exceed targets and drive opportunities from initial identification and qualification to sales fruition and closure.

Support of S&OP through Forecast process and waste mitigation

Qualifications

Prior sales experience required centered around profitable volume growth, customer penetration, and attainment of new customers

Fluent in Spanish is preferred

Experience and expertise in Food Ingredients preferred, R&D experience is a benefit.

Think creatively and critically, can learn new concepts and seeks to resolve complex problems

Problem solver who can drive projects to completion with minimal direction with grit, action and perseverance

Ability to travel ~40-50% of the time

Command of business insight and intuition demonstrated by discernment that not every sales opportunity is equal

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, demonstrated by effective presentation, influence, and tough conversations with collaborators

Strong financial competence to impact P&L management; Effective business planning and data-driven strategy for maintaining current and securing new customers
Work Environment & Schedule

This is a Remote role with travel. Additionally, this role requires working a salaried, exempt schedule to best execute against customer and internal expectations
