This position reports to the Restaurant Manager, retains relationships with peers and all other departments within the hotel/restaurant, maintains relationships with current and prospective customers and guests, and maintains relationships with suppliers, vendors, and others serving the Company.
As a Bartender on our team, you will complete a variety of tasks which will include:
Verify identification and age requirements of customers.
Take food and drink orders and serve to customers.
Mix traditional and creative cocktails per hotel standard drink recipes.
Make suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences.
Maintain a clean working area, and wash glassware and utensils.
Maintain a clean working area by sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning of glass doors and windows, etc., if required.
Process payments for customers.
Build a rapport with customers to create a positive atmosphere.
Ability to sell or influence others for upselling and suggestive selling.
Determine when a customer has had too much alcohol and if required refuse further service politely.
Other duties may be required and assigned.
The position is ideal for someone with the following experience and qualities:
One to two years of previous bartending experience.
Good personality and positive interpersonal skills.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to speak, read, write and understand English.
Dependability and regular attendance.
Ability to work evenings and weekends.
Food Handlers Card.
Bassett Certification or equivalent.
