BUSSER/RUNNER

The Embassy Suites in Rockford, IL. is looking for talented people to join our team as part-time Bussers/ Runners in our restaurants. We offer flexible work schedules, and for those interested, cross-training in a variety of positions and the opportunity to learn the hotel industry.

As a Busser/Runner on our team, you will complete a variety of tasks which will include:
Set tables appropriately and/or prepare table resets for your shift.
Daily successful completion of opening, running and closing side work.
Stock from dishwasher clean glasses, silverware and dishes.
Maintain a clean working area by sweeping, vacuuming, dusting and cleaning of glass, etc. Conduct spot sweeping and mopping of any dirty areas as needed.
Stock bar and restaurant products.
Replenish water glasses and bottles for customers and servers.
Garbage removal (server area, dry storage and outside liquor room).
Assess customers' needs and preferences and accommodate accordingly.
Serve customers in a friendly and helpful manner.
Assist in running food to Guests as needed.
Comply with all food and beverage regulations.
Other duties or tasks that may be assigned.
The position is ideal for someone with the following experience and qualities:
Previous experience as a Busser and/or Runner.
Excellent customer service skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Dependability and regular attendance.
Ability to work evenings and weekends.
