Job Description
General Summary:
The staff nurse has the primary responsibility and accountability for the total nursing care of the patients as identified by the Standards of Nursing Practice and the Illinois State Nurse Practice Act.
Position Highlights:
RN Pulmonary Medicine Unit
Location: Elmhurst Hospital,155 E. Brush Hill Road,Elmhurst, Illinois
Hours:Nights 7:00pm-7:30am Will work 72 hours in a 2 week pay period. Rotate weekends and holidays.
What you will need:
Preferred Education, Skills and/or Experience:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Nursing Required Education, Skills and/or Experience: Associate Degree or higher in Nursing
If Associate Degree in Nursing is the highest degree held, must graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing within five years of position start date (effective September 1, 2021) Current incumbents with an RN Diplomaare grandfathered
OR
RN Diploma Nurse if position start date is prior to September 1, 2021
Required License and/or Certification:
Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of start date in position
