Job Description
provide a hands-on opportunity and environment to learn the profession of Information Technology at the entry-level from the perspective of a Tier-One Automotive Supplier. We are seeking an IT co-op for the traditional year-round part-time work.
Perform entry-level service desk (aka help desk) functions including:
+ Call answering/routing.
+ Diagnose and resolve entry-level technical hardware and software issues.
+ Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, and electronically.
+ Install new software on users’ computers.
+ Clean, modify, and repair computer hardware including monitors, keyboards, and printers.
+ Follow standard service desk procedures.
+ Track and route problems and requests and document resolutions.
+ Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention.
+ Work closely with other IT professionals.
+ Redirect problems to an appropriate resource.
+ Learn to become a liaison between IT professionals and end-user.
