Kelly Science has an immediate opening for an Associate Quality Control Analyst for our growing client in Bedford Park, IL
Full-time
1st & 3rd shift available
Pay: $20/hr
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Associate Quality Control Analyst to join our dynamic team!
Key Responsibilities:
+ Conduct precise and independent analytical tests in alignment with established test procedures.
+ Ensure timely collection and testing of samples, maintaining strict adherence to storage protocols.
+ Source and analyze samples from incoming supplies, in-process stages, and finished products.
+ Execute non-routine procedures with autonomy, and when required, with minimal supervision.
+ Uphold meticulous record-keeping practices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
+ Champion safety and quality by adhering to Good Laboratory Practices and lab safety standards.
+ Uphold a pristine work environment, ensuring cleanliness and safety.
+ Collaborate with laboratory management on special projects and tasks as assigned.
+ Foster effective communication by maintaining a comprehensive communication log and supporting lab personnel to meet operational and customer demands.
+ Contribute to the ongoing validation and maintenance of the lab’s operational state.
+ Participate in equipment maintenance, addressing routine upkeep and troubleshooting common instrument issues.
+ Collaborate seamlessly within a diverse technical team to achieve shared objectives.
Specialized Lab Details:
Corn Unloading Lab:
+ Focus: Comprehensive testing of corn for physical parameters and specific biologicals, including mycotoxins.
+ Schedule: First shift (7:00 am – 3:30 pm) Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend and holiday work.
Dry Starch Lab:
+ Focus: In-depth testing of in-process and finished product starch through instrumental and wet chemistry methods.
+ Instrumentation Used: pH meters, viscosity testers, moisture analyzers, and titration equipment.
+ Schedule:
+ 1st Shift: 6:00 am – 2:00 pm, Monday to Friday
+ 3rd Shift: 10:00 pm – 4:00 am, Monday to Friday
+ Flexibility: Occasional shifts beyond regular hours, weekends, and holidays may be required.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
+ Proficient in basic computer operations.
+ Strong team player with the ability to thrive in a diverse work environment.
+ Capacity to follow both verbal and written instructions effectively.
+ Availability for occasional weekend and after-hour coverage.
