Job Summary
Process samples used for research project, perform extraction of nucleic acids, assist with real-time PCR, and next-generation sequencing.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Organize and process samples for research project
- Assist in extracting nucleic acids and running real-time PCR
- Assist in next-generation sequencing process
- Maintain good records of results
- Maintain clean and organized space and equipment
- Assist in washing, preparation, and sterilization of equipment or supplies
- Other duties as assigned
Allergies to hay, straw or animal dander may cause discomfort based on the location within the College of Veterinary Medicine.
Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION: bachelor's degree in Life Sciences field, such as Biochemistry, Biology, Molecular and Cell Biology, Microbiology , Animal Sciences, etc. EXPERIENCE: Previous laboratory experience required
Appointment Information
This is a 100% full-time Academic Professional position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after 3/22/2024. Salary is commensurate with experience.
